Saturday, June 23rd, we had Isabella's 5th Birthday Party! Her actual birthday was May 15th but we had to wait until Blaine could take off and we worked around some people's schedule. Both were moot points as neither Blaine nor the people we worked around could come but that is okay because it was still a blast. Lot's of people came and all the kids had so much fun.
We had it at Wheels in Motion in Van Buren. It was our first time there and I liked it. The kids really did too. They are already asking to go back!!! Kadence wants her birthday there :)
The only bad thing was the cake. Seems there was quite a misunderstanding between the order taker and myself. No big deal, the cake still turned out adorable, and tasted even better but the lady taking my payment, HORRID! I just tried to question why the cake was not what I had ordered and explain how the cake she was saying I was quoted for and didn't want, was a photo I had posted not what she was trying to say I was quoted for. She was really condescending and hateful telling me "Let me try to explain this to you AGAIN" and if I didn't want the cake don't get it.... I was so mad my face was red and I had to hold in my angry tears.
So needless to say I will NEVER order from Sweet Boutique Cakes again!!! Respectful employees are far more valuable to me than cake decor. I will probably use Confectionately Yours or Paul's Bakery :)
We were all sad Blaine couldn't make it. We have a $970 house payment due this week and we just cannot afford him to miss work before now. But he will be home July 13 for Olivia's 4th Birthday!!!
We are thankful to everyone who came and for the lovely gifts. Thanks so much!!!
