Isabella's First Haircut

Here is a before picture of her long pretty curls

I forgot to post this earlier and I want to make sure I get it down, though I do not think any of us will soon forget Isabella's first haircut.

I will start by saying that I have told Blaine countless times that he spends way too much time using the restroom. This is actually one of my pet peeves. Sorry to be blunt here, but there is a reason for the saying "Poo or get off the pot. " I am sure some other annoyed wife made that up after dealing with her husband and his absurd bathroom routine.

My mother was actually the same way. She would take her little hand held solitaire or Yahtzee game and her pack of smokes into the bathroom, and you would know that you were out of luck for the next hour or so.

I really don't understand this whole sit on the toilet for an hour thing. When I have to go, I go. And if I don't, I don't go wasting an hour sitting there waiting for it to happen. I mean, honestly! That is an hour of your life you will never get back. It could be better spent I think.

Okay so I have told Blaine numerous times how much it annoys me. Especially when I need to use the restroom but have to hold it for an hour until he is done. So with all this being said, November 4th I wake up to Isabella up and playing. I tell Blaine to get up with her for a little bit so I can sleep a little longer. He does. Then shortly after I get woken up by the light coming on and Blaine is holding a shoe box. The shoe box I use when making bows to catch my scraps of ribbon. It's full of something, Hair. I think a doll or something. He says "Angela! Isabella cut her hair! It's all gone!" I jumped up and sure enough she done a number on it. All her beautiful curls gone. Well she left one but of course I had to cut it off. I fixed it the best I could. The back looks fine its the chunk out of the top, and the chunk out of her bangs that is bad. The bags no big deal, I hair spray them to the side and slide a clippie in, the top however, ruined. All we can do is hair spray it down and hope no one notices!!!

Where was Blaine while my baby was playing hair dresser? Yep. You guessed it. In the bathroom!!!

I am very sad that she cut her hair and she looks so much more like Blaine now, but it could have been worse (A friends daughter once got clippers and hers had to be shaved like GI Jane!) and it will grow back. She promised she will never do it again :)

Halloween and Spirit week.

Last weekend was Halloween. It was a sort of jack pot year as it fell on a Sunday so Greenwood celebrated Saturday and Fort Smith on Sunday. Tons of candy all around haha! This is a great time to have 4 kids with ya. We filled several buckets and candy bowls. So not good for my thighs though. But I am not really one to be vain about my appearance. It is what it is and so on.
The kids had a blast trick or treating. Bryceton was Luigi Saturday night and Mario Sunday night. Kadence was Alice in Wonderland, Isabella was Rainbow Brite, and Olivia was Olivia the pig! She was a mess too. She did not want to be held, carried, helped, or have her hand held. She would scream and throw down in the middle of the street kicking and throwing her bucket around. Several people asked us if she was "okay" we just grimaced and said yeah....
One day she will out grow those things and everyone will have a much better time haha!
Kadence has spirit week at her school this past week. I had wanted to get pictures of her every day but I slept in one day and 2 days I was just too tired to hunt down the camera. Monday was super hero day she was Wonder Woman. Tuesday was nerd day. She was herself because I am not sure what makes a nerd but sure it isn't anything nice. Wednesday was decades day. She went as a 70's girl. Thursday was Bulldog Day. And Friday was favorite team day. Against daddy's wishes, she wore Razorback stuff haha! Here's a few pictures from the past week.

Wild Things Farm and Pumpkin Patch

Friday the 22nd we joined Kadence's class at The Wild Things Farm. Olivia was to start school Monday so it was kind of our last little day time trip with the girls until Summer. Even then Olivia will go all year round, so probably for a while! The girls had a great time seeing all the sights and the animals. They got to pet pigs and goats, and even a cat. Yes they were so amused by that little cat even though we have 2 cats at home ha ha! We saw a huge white hog and some peacocks. We took them through the corn maze and it was fun just walking around on a farm. We are so busy there isn't much time to just go out doors and play so I am glad we had the chance to do that. Then we watched the "pumpkin chunker" throw pumpkins at a dummy. I don't mean a person, I mean an actual dummy. The kids liked that too! They all got to pick a pumpkin to bring home, even Isabella and Olivia. All in all it was a great day with our sweet family, minus Bryceton who was at school :( Kadence before she left for school the morning of the trip.

Olivia and Isabella waiting for the hay ride to come back around.
