One Long Year

It’s been a year now since Blaine and I got married. A lot of people thought we were crazy when we did it. A lot of people thought we wouldn’t make it. I’ll be the first to admit that there had been times that thought crossed my mind too. And I know Blaine felt the same way. With all the newness of it for both of us, the stress of adjusting, having another person to put before yourself. Money issues, Blaine adjusting to 3 kids. It’s been a long road.

There were times we both thought we jumped into things too soon. But how soon is too soon really? You never know how much time you have here on this Earth, so why not live life as if every day was your last? Looking back I have no regrets in my decision to marry Blaine so soon. It’s been good for us, and especially for him. I have made him into a man. We aren’t all about partying and hanging out with friends daily. We have a family, we have hopes and dreams. And they are finally starting to come through. The first being our house! It’s hard to feel like complete family without a house. Didn’t everyone always picture the dream of a house, white fence in the yard, a dog or cat, and some kids? Can’t have that extra stuff without a house. Then you are just 5 people crammed into a small apartment, forced to play inside because you don’t know what kind of child molesting perverts are lurking around, or what kind of crazy idiot drivers are speeding through the parking lots.  First house, then baby.

Sure baby came first in a way, but not really. The day we bring her home from the hospital will be so great. She will be brought to her house, her home, a place she can grow up in and be stable. This will be a first for me too. I am not bringing my child to an apartment, or my mom’s home, or my boyfriend’s home. This is my home. Her home. Our home. God has been so good to us. I cannot be more thankful for the life we have. Sure I complain about this and that, who doesn’t? But deep down I know things could be a lot worse. I could have to live at a homeless shelter. Maybe my kids could have been hurt. My husband could be on drugs and having an affair. I could loose my baby......so many terrible things that happen to people all around us. So I am thankful for what I have, and more important, what I don’t have.

Now I will tell you about our anniversary. We decided to celebrate Saturday so that Michael could keep Poo Poo for us. I let Blaine sleep in, then woke him up and gave him his gifts. I got him a card, a stuffed tiger that says "Only you", a pair of Levi’s, a small box of chocolate, and some chocolate that says "I <3 U". I had ordered a special cake for us from this bakery. White cake with chocolate frosting. I was going to surprise him with it by taking it to the restaurant he chose to eat dinner at, and having them bring it out. But Michael had some things to do before we brought Poo Poo down there, and the bakery closed at 3, so I had to get it before then.

We took Poo Poo to his house, and noticed there was only one puppy. When I asked where Bo was, Michael said he sold him. I was like, I thought you were going to let us house break him for you? And he said Well, someone wanted him. As we were leaving, he followed us out the door and said that he lied about selling the puppy, but he didn’t want the kids to hear, he had died. Apparently he got into some antifreeze Michael had drained out of his truck the day before. Poor puppy. I was really mad at Michael because if the puppy can get it, the kids can. He said no, it was underneath something, but still. I told him he better not be leaving that kind of stuff out. Meeka is ok so I guess she didn’t get into it. He better be glad too or he would be giving us the money we paid for her. I just feel bad about Bo. It’s not fair he only got to live 8 weeks. Sad. Anyways, after that we went to Wal-mart because I wanted them to straighten my hair because I wanted to look nice for our date without having to do it myself. It only took about 10 minutes and she charged me $14. I was not happy. Won’t be going there again for that. I could have got a hair CUT for that much. Stupid. But it looked nice and I was glad. While I was doing that Blaine got me a really nice card and some flowers. I thought it was sweet! Then we went to Movie town because I told him for my present I wanted a movie. So we got that then went home so I could change.
We decided to eat Red Lobster because we didn’t get to go there for his birthday. I really wanted Outback, but I thought hey, they have burgers so I will eat that. In case you didn’t know, I really really really HATE seafood. We got there and it was packed. Beyond packed. We waited for almost an hour before we got a seat. Which of course my best friend Sheryl works there, so we asked for her. When we looked over the menus, and she asked what we wanted, I asked her where the burger went..she said they took it off. WHAT! What was i gonna eat now? things weren’t going well.

So I just had a side of pasta and sauce with a baked potato. The pasta was very dry and hard so I didn’t eat it. But the tater was really good! Then we were ready for cake. Man I had been looking forward to the cake all week. Sheryl brought it out, I sliced it up, we took a bite and gagged. The icing tasted like crap.Like bitter coco powder tasting poop. We didn’t eat it, and  I was sad again. Then it was off to the movies. We watched The Messengers while some stupid teenage girls behind us screamed, and giggled and talked the whole time. I finally told them to shut up, and I was preparing to push one or 2 down the stairs if I had to.

As we left, I said how much I was missing Poo Poo. Blaine was like, "You want to go get her huh?" Then he was like, well come on...You know you are a mom when you can’t even enjoy a whole night away from your baby. So we went and got her. And she was happy to see us! We loved her for about an hour . Then we put her to bed and we watched a movie and then Blaine played with my hair until I fell asleep. I took the cake back Monday and told them how crappy it was. So they made us a new one with white icing instead of chocolate. Sheryl picked it up for me and brought it over and it was yummy! I got pictures of both of them. We have ate it all in 3 days it was so good.

Monday night I started getting sick. Last night Blaine came home from work and took me to the dr. I have a horrible sinus infection. I’m tired, weak, and my whole body just aches. Michael took Kadence tonight so I could rest. It will be nice to just lay around without having to take care of someone. That is the worst man. All you want is someone to take care of you, yet you have to put your kids first. And Blaine can’t miss any more work right now so I’m all alone and feeling like crap. We can’t afford to get my prescriptions. The visit alone was $64. Doctors tick me off. I slept all day. Until 1 anyways. Then I laid back down at 4 and waited anxiously for Michael to pick the kids up. I didn’t sleep because of them, but it felt good to just lay there. I don’t know what I would do without Bryceton here to help out with Poo Poo sometimes. I just couldn’t get up, and he got her cup and fed her some yogurt, found her shoes and played with her until Michael got here. He’s such a good brother.

Oh I almost forgot. I haven’t been in a good mood this past week. This is what I mean when I say it’s always something, and it usually involves money. Here we were all paid up on the things we needed to be, and what happens? We find out we have to pay $438 on the day we close on our house. They told us we didn’t have to pay anything, so we had nothing saved. Then all of a sudden this. She said it was half the title fee, some other fee and what the reality company isn’t paying. So we will be super broke again, and Bryceton and Madison’s birthdays are in like 2 weeks from closing. So I am not happy. I am hoping to have a huge garage sale when we move in and spend the money on their party and gifts. Which I already planned on having the party at our house, but I wanted to get them a swing set and Madison a bike and Bryceton a gameboy advance. We will just have to see how things go because we still have to get Meeka her second set of shots.

I can’t wait until she can have puppies and we can make $300 to $350 a puppy lol. Well I feel dizzy again, so I am going to lay down. I am putting a few pictures here. Oh, I better explain the ones of Kadence. Really made me laugh. I keep all the girls hair clips and rubber bands in the plastic tub. Well I heard Kadence playing in it, but didn’t think anything of it. I looked down a little bit later, and she was picking up hair things and putting them in her hair. Like just setting them in her hair. It was so cute and funny! I love how smart she is!!!!!

The cake said "1st" but Blaine messed it up. Oh well it tasted like POOP!

Happy couple <3 (Until we ate the cake, lol)
My card and flowers...awweeee

New (Yummy) cake.....

Happy Valentine's Day!!!!

Well it’s that time of year again. Valentine’s Day is usually my favorite holiday, but with everything going on with the house, and school, and kids, and bills, it’s just not all wonderful. But things are going ok. It’s just money man. Never seems to be enough. We saved $700 to buy a fridge and pay back my step dad the money he let us borrow at Christmas. Well when we went to the whirlpool employee sales today, ALL the black fridges were over $1000. She said they were in high demand and going fast for some reason. Even the white ones were over $500, which is cheap for a brand new fridge, but I was expecting to pay like $400 at the most. Well the ones that are like 300 to 400 bucks are called Class C’s, they are just as good as Class B’s but don’t have a warranty on them. They only had two Class C’s and people had already taken them, so the cheapest thing we found that wasn’t white was $655.15. It’s black on the sides, and stainless steel on the front. So my step dad said we could pay him back later and get it. I thought that was really nice of him. Anyways he forgot the dolly at his house, and we were supposed to be at the new house at 3:30 for our final walk through. Yep, it’s finished!

And it looks so good. We can’t move in yet though. We have to finish some paper work, and she said at the latest, a week from next Monday. So we need to finish packing. Man my tub is awesome. We filled it up and turned it on. It’s going to feel so good massaging my poor back! Everything looks really good. The only thing I’m not happy with is they were supposed to put linoleum or whatever it’s called under the bar in the living room but and they put carpet. She said they could fix that, but that it would take longer for us to move in, so we said no. We will just buy a plastic mat or a throw rug to put under it. There probably won’t be much eating or drinking going on there anyways.

I took a ton of pictures (of course) while we waited on my step dad to go get the dolly. I didn’t think to get any of the fridge, but there will be time for that later when we get it all set up and painted. They had to take the fridge doors off to get it through the door! The kids went crazy everywhere. They are all so excited. Bryceton said "See momma, now we can jump up and down because there aren’t any people downstairs!!" And I was like "yep" and he was like, "And we can even scream too!" And I was like, "Nope!" Lol. They are so tired of being told to be quiet and stop running and all that. The yard looks like poop still because the weather has been so wet they can’t do anything with it, but we don’t have to wait for it to dry up before we move in so that’s good. So next Monday night, who volunteers to help move crap? Awwwwe that’s so sweet of you!

Oh, Valentine’s...I almost forgot. Blaine got me 2 dozen roses, a box of chocolates, a pink puppy, and a card that sings Wild Thing (rolls eyes) lol. Cuteness! I bought some cupcakes for the kids, and Poo Poo made a mess of hers. I got pictures of that too! Well I better get to the pictures, and I am really sorry if you guys are tired of pictures from me ....I just can’t help myself. So I hope you all had a great Valentine’s Day!!!!
