Ha ha! The fair always reminds me of Charlotte's Web, and honestly always leaves me feeling a bit like Templeton after he gorges himself on all the left over fair food. I cannot help but want to eat all the tasty, terrific smelling, food! Last night all together we had Pizza, caramel apples, cotton candy, hot dogs, fried cheesecake, corn dogs, pickles, chips, BBQ beef sandwiches, nachos, and tons of soda! Sadly no funnel cake though :(
We won 2 fish and bought a third, which have since all 3 died :\
We haven't taken the kids to the fair since 2008. Olivia was just a few months old and Isabella wasn't too much older.
The kids had a good time but it was very crowded and lots of standing in line. We were hesitant to put Olivia on the rides at first but the first ride the kids rode she sat out and she cried (so did Isabella who was on the ride, lol) so we did the little train next and she enjoyed it. I squeezed into a tiny pink flying elephant with her. I had to get help to get out haha! Isabella got scared and stuck on a fun house so I went in after her. It was the kind that has the dizzy spinning tunnel at the end, and she wouldn't go or walk so we both ended up falling down in it and couldn't get up. Everyone standing there waiting for their kids enjoyed that! The guy had to stop it so we could get up lol.
The last thing we rode was the tilt-a-whirl and Isabella cried the first time but not the other 2 and Olivia LOVED it. Absolutely loved it. It was so cute to see her laughing and squealing. Also to see her waving from the kiddie rides saying "Hi momma, hi daddy" She has just grown so much.
It was a great time as a family and something we wouldn't have gotten to do on a weekday with Blaine's other job. Thank goodness he was off last night and tonight :) We are just so blessed.
Isabella hanging on for dear life on the very first ride and then her red, tear streamed face, lol

Well The 18th was my (Angela's) birthday. 28. You know when I was growing up and my mom was my age I used to think how old she was and too old to do some of the things she would do, but now I see exactly what she was doing lol. Trying to stay young!
It was an okay birthday. I got a card from Blaine, I know money is tight but he could have at least got me a cake or made me the lunch he promised me haha! We did get to go to Dennys that night. Let me tell you if you did not know, Tuesdays and Saturdays at Denny's from 4-10 pm, kids eat free! Thats an awesome thing for us. 2 kids eat free per one adult meal. So our bill ends up being between $12 and $16, for all 6 of us! LOL!
The kids are doing great. Bryceton needs to see his orthodontist again. They have been monitoring him back and forth for 2 years because he needs braces :| Isabella and Olivia go to their doctor on the 30th to get their physical for daycare! I will be sort of excited to get them in daycare and on a schedule, and have that free time during the day to myself. But that means no more staying up until 5 am working on bows ha!
Blaine started orientation today for Wal-mart. He will be an overnight stocker. I think they said from 10 pm to 7 am. Not ideal hours, but I really think this could be a blessing until I finish school. This allows him to be off in time to take Kadence to school, home sleeping so I can use the van to pick her up at 3, and off in time for church on Sundays, and home before work for church on Wednesdays! I am so thankful they finally called him, just wondering how we will pay the bills until he gets his first check. We are living off my bow to bow sales at this moment. That isn't guaranteed money, so it scares me.
Kadence does NOT love the bus any more. She asked asked "Daddy will you please pick me up today?" every day! Then today I told her she would have to ride the bus because Blaine is at the orientation until 3 and she started bawling saying she doesn't like the bus. :( So he made arrangements with Kadence's teach to come there right after and get her :)
She just looked so adorable today in her Yankees shirt and bow! I am a huge fan of the Yankees. Not so much because I love baseball, I sort of have a crush on Derek Jeter haha! (Sorry Blaine!) But he knew this before coming into the marriage lol.Well I guess that about sums up this week. Looking forward to Church tonight! Here is Kadence in her new bow! Go Yankees!
Well school has started back and Bryceton is now in 3rd grade. Wow when I think of the past 9 years and the road he and I have traveled together, it makes me feel really old. I still remember taking him to my senior prom, and my mom holding him at my graduation. Not the ideal start of a family, but I guess it is what he and I both needed. I wouldn't change anything except having my mom here to see what a handsome, smart, sweet, and funny young man he is becoming. She would be proud to know that he is one of the best readers in his class, he holds the door open for strangers, and he is a huge help with his little sisters. I know I am proud!
Greenwood switched their schools around this year. Bryceton's school is now right across the highway from our street. He walks to and from school every day. He said "this school is way better than my other school." I am glad he still thinks school is awesome, lol.
Kadence started pre-k this year. That girl, she amazes me. She is the sweetest little girl ever. She is always trying to make me proud, and she does it so well. We take her to school every morning but because of Blaine's prior work schedule, she had no choice but to ride the bus home. The trip is close to an hour. I was terrified at the thought of my 4 year old baby on that big bus for so long. So on the first day we picked her up. She was so upset that she did not get to ride the bus! HA! So adventurous and brave. Not like her mommy at all. The next day when she rode the bus for the first time, I waited for her outside and as the bus pulled up, she was all smiles and waving to me. She could not wait to tell me she rode the bus and how fun it was! On the way to school the next day I asked her if she misses me when she is at school. She said "I didn't cry at my old school so I am not going to cry at my new school." Such a big girl!
Her teacher has an award called a smile-o-gram. It's a special award given out periodically to the kids on certain good behavior situations. On the second or third day Kadence came home with one. It said she was following directions and listening when others were not. She looked at me and said "Mama does this make you happy?" and I said "Yes it makes me very happy." then Kadence said "That's why I be good, because I want to make you happy." Melted my heart! I can only hope she has that same attitude toward God as she grows and learns to do things pleasing to Him. I imagine that must be how God feels when we do things for His glory. We melt God's heart when we obey His command and live our lives according to His word. I can definitely learn a lot from Kadence.
We are going to try to get Isabella and Olivia in at hand in hand daycare. It is through Bost but Kadence went there last year and she learned so much! It prepared her greatly for pre-k this year. We have to get approval from their doctor first though.
I took Kadence and Bryceton to the first Bulldogs game this year against Roland. I think they enjoyed the food more than the game, but hey that was some good popcorn and ever better nachos ;) Kadence wore her adorable shirt from Sarah Ward and her bulldogs bow from me. Everyone loved them! Here are some pictures from the first few weeks of the fall. We are so blessed!

Bryceton's First day of 3rd Grade and Kadence's first day of Pre-k

Go Bulldogs!

Isabella and Olivia at Chuck E Cheese for little miss Kenzleigh's 1st birthday. Haha at Olivia's huge bite of cake!
