Greenwood switched their schools around this year. Bryceton's school is now right across the highway from our street. He walks to and from school every day. He said "this school is way better than my other school." I am glad he still thinks school is awesome, lol.
Kadence started pre-k this year. That girl, she amazes me. She is the sweetest little girl ever. She is always trying to make me proud, and she does it so well. We take her to school every morning but because of Blaine's prior work schedule, she had no choice but to ride the bus home. The trip is close to an hour. I was terrified at the thought of my 4 year old baby on that big bus for so long. So on the first day we picked her up. She was so upset that she did not get to ride the bus! HA! So adventurous and brave. Not like her mommy at all. The next day when she rode the bus for the first time, I waited for her outside and as the bus pulled up, she was all smiles and waving to me. She could not wait to tell me she rode the bus and how fun it was! On the way to school the next day I asked her if she misses me when she is at school. She said "I didn't cry at my old school so I am not going to cry at my new school." Such a big girl!
Her teacher has an award called a smile-o-gram. It's a special award given out periodically to the kids on certain good behavior situations. On the second or third day Kadence came home with one. It said she was following directions and listening when others were not. She looked at me and said "Mama does this make you happy?" and I said "Yes it makes me very happy." then Kadence said "That's why I be good, because I want to make you happy." Melted my heart! I can only hope she has that same attitude toward God as she grows and learns to do things pleasing to Him. I imagine that must be how God feels when we do things for His glory. We melt God's heart when we obey His command and live our lives according to His word. I can definitely learn a lot from Kadence.
We are going to try to get Isabella and Olivia in at hand in hand daycare. It is through Bost but Kadence went there last year and she learned so much! It prepared her greatly for pre-k this year. We have to get approval from their doctor first though.
I took Kadence and Bryceton to the first Bulldogs game this year against Roland. I think they enjoyed the food more than the game, but hey that was some good popcorn and ever better nachos ;) Kadence wore her adorable shirt from Sarah Ward and her bulldogs bow from me. Everyone loved them!
Here are some pictures from the first few weeks of the fall. We are so blessed!
