Very Scarey Day

Today was one of the scariest days in my life. Everything was fine all day. I don’t have to go to school any more because my teachers are all letting me work from home and just come to school for the finals, so I slept in. Blaine left for work about 2:30, I was cooking chicken tenders for the kids lunch. Then I decided to do a little housework before time to get ready for church. I did a load of dishes, gathered up some trash, and cleaned the sinks out. Then I decided to work on the living room. I had the kids help me pick stuff up off the floor, then I went to vacuum. Well their rooms needed vacuuming too, so I left it sitting out in the middle of the living room while I took a sit down break on the couch. I cleaned Kadence’s face and asked Madison to throw away the wipe, and she came running back from the trash, and I guess she must have tripped over the vacuum cord, but I don’t really know it all happened so fast, and she went so fast and hard mouth first into the coffee table.

I was right there so I picked her up and ran to the kitchen, and blood just started pouring everywhere. I freaked out and didn’t know what to do. It kept coming out and wouldn’t stop, I started crying, and called 911 because I was here alone with no car seats or anything. They had to make me repeat my address about 3 times because I was so hysterical. I think I was crying more than she was. I finally got her calmed down a little and the police came, then first responders, then the ambulance, which brought the neighbor thinking I was in labor and needed her to keep the kids. They said it looked pretty bad, and she would probably need stitches. I had already called Michael to be on his way so I said we would take her. I stopped most of the bleeding but when she would cry it would make it worse. I was crying, she was crying, Bryceton was crying saying he didn’t want his sister to die, and Kadence was so freaked out by all the people and us all crying, that she started crying too. It must have been a sight.

I called Blaine and had him come get me so I could be at the hospital with my baby.  We got there at 5, and did not leave until 9:30. She had to have 4 stitches on the outer lip, and her teeth went through the inner cheek, it was bad. We had to hold her down while she screamed and cried, and that made me cry more. It hurts to see your child in pain and know you can do nothing. I was so scared, and worried, and felt so miserable for her. They numbed it first of course, but she still screamed. Both our shirts were covered in blood. It looked like a crime scene.  But hopefully she will get better fast. She goes back in 5 days to get them out and is on a Popsicle diet, lucky her!  Well that is all I guess, I am going to go lay down now.
