Our House

So...yesterday Blaine and I went to have a look at our house. As soon as we pulled up, some lady in her early 40’s came out of her house from next door, and pretty much ran us down. She was like, "Omg are ya’ll gonna be our new neighbor’s? Blah Blah Blah blah blah...." This is the first look we have had of the house since they started it, and we really wanted to look at it, but she followed us all over the entire thing. Talking about everything you could imagine: her name, her husband’s name, their 4 kids names/ages, all the neighbors names, their ages, what they do, who smokes in the neighborhood, who don’t, who goes outside to smoke, what day the trash runs, how nice the mail lady is, what time the mail runs, the school bus runs, blah blah blah. I wanted to choke her before we got through the first bedroom. She started going on about how we should make sure they put the plug in’s where we want them because she didn’t like where they put hers, and that I should make them put 2 shelves in our laundry room because they will only put one, and trust her we will need 2 shelves!!!

I am seriously going to dislike this lady. I mean, I told her flat out that we were just thankful to be getting house, and weren’t going to be picky about plug in’s or shelves. If we want another shelf, we can buy it ya know? I mean I don’t know if she realizes it or not, but ANYONE can buy a shelf at a hardware store and put it up. You don’t have to have a special license for it...lol. Really I appreciate her coming over and being nice, but I don’t need to know every detail of hers or anyone else’s life. I can tell she thinks we are going to be best friends, but ummm I don’t want to be her friend. She is old enough to be my mother. Oh she also told me she don’t work because she has some kind of arthritis, and her husband works at Trane, but he is laid off right now, and she cleans houses in her spare time.....I could probably write a book about her life from the 20 minutes I talked to her. And she tells me that she has been in our house everyday..what??

I mean I realize it doesn’t have walls yet, and anyone could be all up in there, but why? That just creeps me out. Seriously! We aren’t going a darn place for our anniversary, we are buying a dang privacy fence with income tax. Forget all that. UGH....Anyways, I went back today to take some pictures so you guys could see the progress. There are no inside walls, so just try to imagine it, lol.....

This is it folks!!!! I know it isn’t much now, but think of what it will be.

Front porch with door and living room windows
This is the living room, and there is the dry wall for the walls!!!

This will be the girls room. I wanted them to have the bay windows since it gives a little bit more room.

This is from inside the girls room. Directly in front is their closet, and beyond that you can see where their bathroom will be.

This will be Brycetons room.

This is the view of the kitchen/dining room from the living room. that oval shape will be a bar with tile flooring underneath.
This is a view of our room from our bathroom and you can see through to the kitchen/dining room
My favorite thing ever about the house. MY, and yes I said MY bathtub. This sucker is costing us $1500 out of our income tax. There is some nasty stuff in it, but ya know, there’s like no walls or ceilings, so that happens. I cannot wait to use it!

Blaine’s shower. Man it’s big enough for 2 people easy. And it has a little seat in it to get those hard to reach places....

This is our muddy back yard. See that house back there in the background on the left? That’s where my friend is going to be living. So our kids can cross a field to get to each other to play!!

The back door, which is in the dining room...

The laundry room which is between our room and the garage. Pretty spacey.

The garage again but it’s kinda hard to see....

A view of the garage from the living room. That is dry wall leaning against the frame

And that is it! Well let me know what you think. We are happy with everything but the drainage ditch beside us, and the nosey lady on the other side, lol.......I’ll take some more pictures when they get more stuff done. Shouldn’t be too much longer now.
