Isabella's First Haircut

Here is a before picture of her long pretty curls

I forgot to post this earlier and I want to make sure I get it down, though I do not think any of us will soon forget Isabella's first haircut.

I will start by saying that I have told Blaine countless times that he spends way too much time using the restroom. This is actually one of my pet peeves. Sorry to be blunt here, but there is a reason for the saying "Poo or get off the pot. " I am sure some other annoyed wife made that up after dealing with her husband and his absurd bathroom routine.

My mother was actually the same way. She would take her little hand held solitaire or Yahtzee game and her pack of smokes into the bathroom, and you would know that you were out of luck for the next hour or so.

I really don't understand this whole sit on the toilet for an hour thing. When I have to go, I go. And if I don't, I don't go wasting an hour sitting there waiting for it to happen. I mean, honestly! That is an hour of your life you will never get back. It could be better spent I think.

Okay so I have told Blaine numerous times how much it annoys me. Especially when I need to use the restroom but have to hold it for an hour until he is done. So with all this being said, November 4th I wake up to Isabella up and playing. I tell Blaine to get up with her for a little bit so I can sleep a little longer. He does. Then shortly after I get woken up by the light coming on and Blaine is holding a shoe box. The shoe box I use when making bows to catch my scraps of ribbon. It's full of something, Hair. I think a doll or something. He says "Angela! Isabella cut her hair! It's all gone!" I jumped up and sure enough she done a number on it. All her beautiful curls gone. Well she left one but of course I had to cut it off. I fixed it the best I could. The back looks fine its the chunk out of the top, and the chunk out of her bangs that is bad. The bags no big deal, I hair spray them to the side and slide a clippie in, the top however, ruined. All we can do is hair spray it down and hope no one notices!!!

Where was Blaine while my baby was playing hair dresser? Yep. You guessed it. In the bathroom!!!

I am very sad that she cut her hair and she looks so much more like Blaine now, but it could have been worse (A friends daughter once got clippers and hers had to be shaved like GI Jane!) and it will grow back. She promised she will never do it again :)
